Sky: Predicted XIs for Milan vs. Torino – two new signings but no Chukwueze

AC Milan will kick-off their 2024-25 Serie A campaign on Saturday night as they take on Torino at San Siro, and Paulo Fonseca will name his first line-up for a competitive game.

According to what is being reported by Sky, Mike Maignan will be between the posts with Davide Calabria and Theo Hernandez the right-back and left-back respectively. Fikayo Tomori will be partnered by new signing Strahinja Pavlovic in the middle.

Ismael Bennacer and Tijjani Reijnders are down as the expected double pivot, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek playing in the attacking midfielder role as he often did under Stefano Pioli last season.

Christian Pulisic has shaken off a knock and is tipped to be the right winger which thus relegated Samuel Chukwueze to the bench after an impressive preseason. Rafael Leao completes the attacking trident behind the centre-forward Alvaro Morata.

The likes of Yunus Musah, Noah Okafor, Luka Jovic and Chukwueze will thus be available off the bench to lend a hand during the game. Emerson Royal is not expected to be in the squad, as he must resolve some final bureaucratic issues.

Predicted AC Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Tomori, Pavlovic, Hernandez; Bennacer, Reijnders; Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Leao; Morata.

Predicted Torino XI (3-5-2): Milinkovic-Savic; Vojvoda, Coco, Masina; Bellanova, Ricci, Linetty, Ilic, Lazaro; Sanabria, Zapata.
