SM: 72k fans were present for Milan’s 2-0 win against Lazio – the revenue

AC Milan clinched three huge points against Lazio today as they scored two early goals in the first half. The turnout in the stands was amazing as well given that San Siro was more or less sold out.

As per the official numbers provided by the club (via SempreMilan.it), a total of 72,365 fans were present at the stadium this afternoon. Thanks to this, Milan were able to collect €2.5m in ticket sales.

It’s nothing compared to the big Champions League games, with a new record expected for the first leg against Inter (i.e. over €9.1m), but it’s important to still collect a good amount from the league games.

The first leg against Inter is scheduled for Wednesday and the tickets have been sold out since last week. There weren’t many left even for the Cuore Rossonero members, as many sat in the queue for hours without any luck in the end.
