According to SPORT journalist Toni Juanmarti, sharing the latest updates on his Twitter, Firpo only wants to join the Rossoneri. Barcelona are well aware of this and have thus put the Premier League hypothesis on hold.

They would prefer a permanent sale, while Milan are keen on a loan with an option to buy. Different solutions are being studied by the clubs and one of them is a swap deal, with the Rossoneri ready to offer captain Alessio Romagnoli.

Barcelona, however, would prefer other names but there is a will to reach an agreement to satisfy all the parties. It remains to be seen if these reports will be confirmed by Italian media or not.
