SPORT: Milan and Barcelona studying swap deal as captain is proposed

By Isak Möller -

Milan are in negotiations with Barcelona over Junior Firpo, who could become the new deputy for Theo Hernandez on the left-hand side of the defence. Both parties seem willing to close the deal, with solutions proposed.

According to SPORT journalist Toni Juanmarti, sharing the latest updates on his Twitter, Firpo only wants to join the Rossoneri. Barcelona are well aware of this and have thus put the Premier League hypothesis on hold.

They would prefer a permanent sale, while Milan are keen on a loan with an option to buy. Different solutions are being studied by the clubs and one of them is a swap deal, with the Rossoneri ready to offer captain Alessio Romagnoli.

Barcelona, however, would prefer other names but there is a will to reach an agreement to satisfy all the parties. It remains to be seen if these reports will be confirmed by Italian media or not.

What a stupid article. We would have to be insane to swap Romagnoli for a player who is a back up and rarely plays and who can’t defend?? Are you crazy? Where do they come up with this shit. Sell Romagnoli if he doesn’t sign extension so we don’t loose him for nothing like Donnaruma. Seems like this summer will be a huge disappointment for transfers. We don’t have any $$ again???? WTF. Build a stadium Elliot then sell.
