La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) write that Bennacer is second in Serie A for stolen balls, he is second among Milan players for number of passes completed and he is top of the Rossoneri squad chances created.
In his 15 league appearances (out of 15 games played so far), the Alergian has 186 forward passes (at an average of 12.40 per game), 81 long balls (average 5.4 per game, the other midfielders have an average of 2.41) and 25 successful dribbles (1.67 per game, the other Serie A midfielders are under 0.5).
It is perhaps a relief therefore that the same source are reporting Bennacer has an agreement in principle over a new contract that will see him triple his current salary and extend the deadline from the current 2024 to 2027.
