Suma says Milan ‘will not be held hostage’ in negotiations over Valencia midfielder

Yunus Musah remains the primary target of AC Milan for the midfield but the negotiations with Valencia haven’t been easy. In fact, there appear to be disagreements within the Spanish club that are blocking the deal.

Milan need one more midfielder before they can consider their midfield complete and they have made Musah their primary target. Giorgio Furlani, Geoffrey Moncada and Antonio D’Ottavio believe he has the right characteristics to play in the centre of the midfield.

As explained by Mauro Suma in his latest editorial for MilanNews, there seems to be some internal disagreements at Valencia and while Milan are patient for now, they will not think twice about dropping the pursuit.

“Now the agenda includes a midfielder, will it be Musah? Let’s see, Milan like the player and he wants the move, but due to the frankness and sincerit we are seeing this summer, Milan will not be held hostage to the internal dynamics of other clubs,” he wrote.

Milan have moved with great determination so far this summer and it’s clear that the president of Valencia Peter Lim, who reportedly is the one blocking the deal, won’t decide the Rossoneri’s fate. If not Musah, then the management will sign someone else.
