CM: Milan want Champions League revenue boost to sign a high-level defender – the names

AC Milan are beginning to narrow down the list of defensive options they are considering for January, with various tracks being probed.

Calciomercato.com reports that Milan winning against Liverpool tonight and making the last 16 of the Champions League (providing the right result arrives in Porto) is a result that would be fundamental both from a sporting and an economic point of view because it would boost the Rossoneri’s revenue by €20m.

This is very big ahead of the January market, and while the percentage to be allocated will depend on the opportunities that arise, it is clear that a new high-level centre-back would come next month.

Bremer of Torino is the great dream but Torino do not seem willing to sell, which is why Sven Botman of Lille is also considered, but for now his asking price is €30m. Then, Massara and Maldini are starting to work on Danish international Christensen whose contract with Chelsea is about to expire, while Nikola Milenkovic’s candidacy also remains and there have been talks with his agent in recent days.
