Reports: Tare to meet Furlani before Monza game – when he could sign

Igli Tare, by all accounts, will be the new AC Milan sporting director. However, he has not signed on the dotted line just yet.

It will be a nervy wait now for Tare to arrive. After all, Milan have been in this situation before. The signs point in one direction, but somehow, it falls through at the last moment. Of course, this was the case with Fabio Paratici, and it is a reason to stay grounded, at least for now.

Given Paratici’s ban, there were always doubts, so there can certainly be less fear here, with Tare arriving with a clean bill. Nevertheless, confirmation of his arrival is needed sooner rather than later.

According to DAZN journalist Orazio Accomando, the sporting director could sign after Furlani returns from his business trip. But, it will definitely be before the Monza game that a meeting takes place to define the details of the contract and the future.

Matteo Moretto also reports this information, stating that the director is ‘expected’ to sign either today or tomorrow (May 22). This would mean that the new project could begin as soon as the final whistle is blown this weekend.

A needed sign of action, definitely, and a step in the right direction.
