Three Milan players at risk of missing Verona clash due to suspension

Three AC Milan players, namely Theo Hernandez, Yunus Musah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, must be careful against Empoli tomorrow as they are one yellow away from suspension. Then again, looking at the schedule, tactical cards could be on the agenda.

Milan will face Empoli tomorrow and Hellas Verona in the following round, which are two games they should win even without a few players. Alessandro Florenzi and Rafael Leao are both suspended for tomorrow’s game, for example, but the Rossoneri have good enough depth.

The initial thought might be that Hernandez, Musah and Loftus-Cheek should be careful tomorrow, but the schedule suggests maybe they shouldn’t. After Verona, Milan will face Fiorentina away from home and that class is arguably a lot tougher than the other two.

A card for Hernandez tomorrow, therefore, might be positive as he would then for sure be available for the game against La Viola. It remains to be seen how he will behave on the pitch tomorrow, but sometimes it’s just better to take the suspension.

Noah Okafor will replace Rafael Leao in attack and it also looks like Luka Jovic will get the chance. Samuel Chukwueze, on the other hand, is still in the cold.
