PM: Three reasons for Milan to strongly consider an attempt to sign Berardi

One of AC Milan’s summer transfer market target could be Domenico Berardi of Sassuolo if the management choose to try and strengthen the wing.

Calciomercato.it reported earlier this week that Berardi is a target for the Rossoneri and has a valuation of around €30m, given that he is now on 10 goals and 10 assists in the league. Sassuolo would be interested in signing Junior Messias to replace Berardi, while they also asked for information about Tommaso Pobega’s situation, so Milan could play those cards in their favour.

PianetaMilan also claims that Berardi could well be back in fashion for Milan given that he seems to be ready for the jump to a big club, and they have highlighted three reasons why he would be worth an investment by Maldini and Massara.

Firstly, Berardi is the only player in Europe’s top five leagues to have both scored 10 goals and to amass 10 assists this season, so it is clear that such a decisive player would provide a significant leap in quality and would balance the attack with Rafael Leao on the left.

Then there is his experience, as the Italy international is a 27-year-old player who boasts 96 goals, 68 assists in 261 appearances in Serie A and he seems to be in his prime, ready to contribute.

Despite that, Berardi hasn’t won anything with Sassuolo and he has the concentration, determination and confidence to prove that he is ready to win a trophy at club level. He also won the European Championships with Italy over the summer, adding an international string to his bow.
