TMW: Milan looking to beat Lazio, Bayern Munich to Chievo star; talks have begun

AC Milan have made their first approach for Chievo Verona starlet Emanuel Vignato, according to the latest reports.

The Rossoneri have been repeatedly linked with a move for Vignato in recent months, and a report from Calciomercato.com, claimed that Milan’s chief scout Geoffrey Moncada continues to have an eye on him as a possible gem for the future.

The 19-year-old emerged at Chievo last season during a disastrous campaign in which they were relegated, but he was one of the bright spots.

Vignato has eight appearances for the Serie B side this season, amassing a goal and an assist, drawing links with Sampdoria, Lazio and even Bayern Munich.

According to TMW though it is Milan who are looking to steal a march on the aforementioned trio as they have initiated contact over the Italy U18 international.

The report claims that the Flying Donkeys are aware he is a prized asset and they are aiming to get him to sign a renewal before he leaves for another club, possibly to include some favourable clauses.
