TMW: Monza could focus on Milan outcast Bakayoko to reinforce their midfield

Tiemoue Bakayoko’s future is yet to be defined despite the fact that he seemed certain to leave AC Milan at the start of the summer. A breakthrough might be on the cards, though, as Monza are now interested.

Bakayoko was brought in by Milan on a two-year loan from Chelsea last summer and his first season with the club was a very disappointing one. Therefore, he has been linked with a departure all summer but it hasn’t materialised yet.

Milan are still looking for a midfielder on the market but the fact also remains that it has been tough to find a new destination for Bakayoko. According to TuttoMercatoWeb, after struggling to lock down other targets, Monza could focus on the Chelsea-owned midfielder.

The newly-promoted side, led by Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani, want strength as well as experience for the midfield and Bakayoko could be the one. Milan, as we know, are more than willing to cut the loan short.
