Tuttosport: Calabria’s recovery well ahead of schedule – when the full-back could return

After the news of Alessio Romagnoli’s return to training, another big injury boost has arrived for Milan regarding Davide Calabria.

According to reports from Tuttosport (via MilanLive), Calabria’s recovery is proceeding much faster than expected and sources close to the club suggest he is almost ready to return, well ahead of schedule.

Initially there was talk of 30 full days for the Italy international given that he had minor knee surgery, because after recovery he would need a few days to regain top athletic condition in training. The forecast was to see him again called up for Lazio-Milan on April 26th, but he may now return to the group already this week.

In the next few days – if the meniscus checkup is positive – Calabria could be reunited with the rest of the team-mates and while it seems difficult that he will be back for Sunday’s game against Genoa, he could return for the game against Sassuolo on Wednesday 21 April.
