Tuttosport: Kessie continues to ask for €6m per year to renew Milan deal – the latest

Franck Kessie’s contract will expire next summer and AC Milan are determined not to lose him for free, like with Hakan Calhanoglu and Gigio Donnarumma. Work is thus underway to get the Ivorian’s signature.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport, as cited by MilanNews, Milan’s offer of €5m per year was deemed unsatisfactory by the midfielder and his agent. Instead, they continue to ask for a deal worth €6m per year.

There’s no doubt, however, that the will of both parties is to continue together and reach a solution for a long-term renewal. We can only hope that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will be able to unlock the talks.

Kessie will miss the first two games of the season due to a muscle injury and this is a slight blow for Milan. Sandro Tonali will start in his place and will be hoping to impress before the Ivorian is back in action.
