Tuttosport: Kessie continues to ask for €6m per year to renew Milan deal – the latest

By Isak Möller -

Franck Kessie’s contract will expire next summer and AC Milan are determined not to lose him for free, like with Hakan Calhanoglu and Gigio Donnarumma. Work is thus underway to get the Ivorian’s signature.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport, as cited by MilanNews, Milan’s offer of €5m per year was deemed unsatisfactory by the midfielder and his agent. Instead, they continue to ask for a deal worth €6m per year.

There’s no doubt, however, that the will of both parties is to continue together and reach a solution for a long-term renewal. We can only hope that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will be able to unlock the talks.

Kessie will miss the first two games of the season due to a muscle injury and this is a slight blow for Milan. Sandro Tonali will start in his place and will be hoping to impress before the Ivorian is back in action.

Kesie can ask for 6 million Milan said his on the table is 5 million or you will be sold. I think Maldini is angry with Kesie and that is why he will not play against Samdoria. In any case, Arsenal is waiting for Milan’s answer in the last week of August, if Kesie does not sign, he will be sold to Arsenal.
Krunic is a reliable player and Maldini has no problem. Pioli loves Krunic and his effort in the game. If Kesie leaves, Vlasic and Bakayoko will come for that money

  4. Zoro Caloro says:

Goal of Pioli this season: don’t renew Kessie, make sure right when Tonali starts looking like a starter you bench him again and ruin his development, bring back Meite again at end of mercato and run the amazing top class duo of Lord Krunic and his the Court Jester Meite!!! #Pioli out.

Sorry to say this but, Free speech for the dumb, im starting to think some of milans fans are sniffing glue or they are in fact a troll factory army.

I am Forza – Kessie is injured, period and no insane conspiracy theory will change that.

Zorro Caloro – Sure pioli wants to destroy milans progress by handling players deliberately bad because he has ulterior motives. I can guarantee that if that was the case he would be gone before the sun sets down.

Do you guys even understand how idiotic it sounds ? or do you guys actually has ulteriror motives yourself because the fan boys in you are so disgruntled that hauge was sold that you infact wishes pioli to get sacked that it mutters your view so much even if its detrimental to the club you should actually love. After years with a clown in the white house that had no issues lying on a regular basis it should be clear by now that idiocy is contageous and should be cut down at when the opportunity arises.

  6. Vrizk says:

Just give what he want, believe me he’s worth more than 6 Million. We cannot lose him like Donna, Remember, we’re back in UCL, so we need an established player like him.

    1. Martin Bernhard says:

I wouldnt really be too nervous whether if he will renew as the player has clearly expressed his will in a recent interview so i think its basically down to agree on details that soon will be sorted out. There has been people comparing this with donnarumma not renewing but that we lost him for free isnt necessarily comparable as he gave us problems last time we had to renew him so i think it was always in the plans of his and raiola to not renew so he could get his big pay.
In the end though i think he is of huge importance to the team and the management are fully aware of that so think it will be sorted out sooner than later.

  7. Trojan says:

    He really good player.

  8. Agu says:

He should be sold so that he does not walk away free like the Gigio and the Turks . These players are taking Milan for a ride. If you don’t sell those who cost huge money to but and want to walk away free, you will open the door for other players to opt for the exploitative route. SELL KESSIE IMMEDIATELY.
