An agreement has been reached between Milan and Sampdoria for the loan move of Gabbia, who needs consistent playing time to continue his growth. It could be the perfect aytch as the defender has done very well this pre-season.
However, as reported by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan are still blocking the move as they haven’t brought in a centre-back yet. Without a signing on that front, they will not sanction Gabbia’s move to Sampdoria.
The likes of Japeth Tanganga of Tottenham and Abdou Diallo of PSG have been linked with Milan, but both clubs are asking for a loan with obligation and not option. Therefore, the situation is yet to be unlocked, as the newspaper concludes.
