Tuttosport: Milan’s new management cancel meeting scheduled over Chelsea midfielder

AC Milan have cancelled a meeting that was booked in to discuss the potential signing of Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, a report claims.

The change of direction taken by Milan after the dismissal of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara from their positions as technical and sporting directo is also having repercussions on the existing targets.

According to what is being reported by Tuttosport (via SempreMilan.it), the new Rossoneri management have canceled the meeting – previously booked in by Maldini and Massara – with Loftus-Cheek’s entourage which was scheduled for Monday.

It is not yet clear whether Milan will try to open negotiations again in the future for the English midfielder, but having taken the meeting with the agents off the agenda it could be the signal that the club will now focus on other targets.

For example, Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Milan are trying to sign midfielder Youri Tielemans who will leave Leicester City on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the month.
