Despite that fact that the window is not open andAC Milan have just had a major change in their management, the club continue to be concretely linked with transfer targets.
According to what is being reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan are also trying to sign midfielder Youri Tielemans who will leave Leicester City on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the month.
Tielemans is a player Roma have also been working on for some time and there is also competition from Galatasaray. The Belgian is a player that chief scout Geoffrey Moncada knows well, given they were at Moncada at the same time.
Tielemans started his career with Anderlecht where he was part of the youth sector, moving to Monaco in 2017 and then Leicester two years later.
He can play either in a deeper midfield role or as a box-to-box player, and he racked up three goals plus two assists in 31 games for the Foxes last season.
Great shot Well Crfted 100% Profit
Fun fact: we already have 3 midfielders who came from relegated teams (Bennacer, Krunic, and Tonali).
You forgot Adli
I meant DM/CM…
Oh and Adli was bought before Bordeaux got relegated.
If Roma wants Tielemans and Milan wants him, it’s going to be down to a couple of factors:
✓ Does he want UCL football immediately?
✓ Will he consider a higher wage?
✓ Mourinho vs Moncada: who has the better charm to attract players?
Who has more Belgians?
One could also ask which of the 2 coaches will throw his players under the bus if they don’t perform well and which will protect his players no matter what.
Any way,I don’t think this useless Milan owner can guide the team like maldini.
The actual question is when will Milan start making moves or will the keep on compiling list till the end of the transfer window?
It’s not about if he wants UCL football or not, if Milan doesn’t show seriousness another serious team will take him UCL or not.
From a PR point of view, Milan owners need a very good transfer summer to placate a very angry fan base. Im hoping this happens, but im not holding my breath.
More importantly, Milan needs to send a strong signal to the players that the ambition is still there and the goal is to fight for silverware. If the current players don’t believe in that it’s all downhills.
