Tuttosport: Milan’s new management cancel meeting scheduled over Chelsea midfielder

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have cancelled a meeting that was booked in to discuss the potential signing of Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, a report claims.

The change of direction taken by Milan after the dismissal of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara from their positions as technical and sporting directo is also having repercussions on the existing targets.

According to what is being reported by Tuttosport (via SempreMilan.it), the new Rossoneri management have canceled the meeting – previously booked in by Maldini and Massara – with Loftus-Cheek’s entourage which was scheduled for Monday.

It is not yet clear whether Milan will try to open negotiations again in the future for the English midfielder, but having taken the meeting with the agents off the agenda it could be the signal that the club will now focus on other targets.

For example, Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Milan are trying to sign midfielder Youri Tielemans who will leave Leicester City on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the month.

        1. I’d say we can try one more Belgian (if we get rid of at least two first) and if that doesn’t work out, no more Belgians. Ever. 😀

  1. I got my hopes up for a second and thought we’d go after Amrabat or Ounahi. I’ll reserve judgments on signings until they are made but the players we’ve been linked to since the Maldini Massara sackings are very worrying signs.

  2. I have a feeling Moncada is being used as a Damage control tool by Gerry and asked to sign players to calm the fans down. Moncada should do this own thing and go for players he personally thinks is the best because every fan trusts Moncada on any decision on any player he will make.

I don’t think the Tielemans transfer is Moncada’s choice. Tielemans deteriorated BADLY. There is a reason why Leichester is relegated. Moncada knows that better than us. So Tielemans is more redbird than Moncada. All FREE agents are gonna be linked to Milan now as PR stunt. If they use Moncada for it, they would make a mistake.

And the Conspiracy Theorist of the Year award goes to…!!! 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

    2. Tielemans is never a moncada Target, that’s for sure. Moncada aims only for promising players, not deteriorating players. Tielemans has turned into Baka 2.0 but worse. He completely forgot how to tackle.

RLC can be a lot of things.. but he is not deteriorating. When he plays, he is damn good on the pitch and gets his job done. ButI don’t think RLC is a good fit for Milan either.

  3. I’m going to be alone in this… but go look at Ethan Ampadu.

Experienced in Italy and internationally, highest rated player at his team in Serie A for last two seasons, available for a relative pittance from a team who desperately need to offload players and generate capital gains and will ignore him because he’s not new and shiny enough

  4. Thanks for the new management for considering my Deeply feeling and cornceen because of the love of milan not fail again by signing such Injury prone and out of our need.
This is the real sign of the new management’s Committment of Gaining real Players that could take acmilan in to success both in Troohes and Economic wise.
    In and out costs.
