Tuttosport: Milan ready to up their offer in bid to keep Leao as demands increase

AC Milan seem willing to raise their offer to Rafael Leao in a bid to fend off the interest that is gathering from clubs abroad, a report claims.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes that one of the very first tasks that the new ownership RedBird Capital – through directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara – will have to tackle will be linked to the renewal of Rafael Leao.

There is no doubting that he was one of the drivers of Milan in their Scudetto win last season, and he was even awarded the title of being the Serie A MVP having made major contributions in the final part of the campaign.

The Portuguese winger has a contract expiring in 2024, and there has already been in conversation with the Rossoneri management for some time through his entourage about extending that. After his exploits last season the demands regarding salary have increased, but the club seem willing to move towards what he is asking for so as not to run the risk of losing such a fundamental and talented player.
