Tuttosport: Next week crucial for Milan’s Fullkrug pursuit – the plans

AC Milan are looking to add two strikers to their ranks in the upcoming mercato, and it seems they are doing good legwork to do this, with the next week being crucial.

There is a tangible bit of success in the works, with Milan having a medical for Alvaro Morata scheduled for the middle of the week, but the plans to strengthen the forward line do not stop there.

Instead, there is a goal to add another name, and in recent days several names have been linked to the post, and there is seemingly no favourite at present. Of course, during the window, the landscape of transfers changes massively, but in hours, the tide can shift.

However, it seems like one name might be gaining more momentum than others, and that is Niclas Fullkurg’s. The German striker scored 16 times for Borussia Dortmund last season and matched that record in the prior season.

Furthermore, in limited minutes at the European Championship, he scored twice and was unlucky to not score more than that.

This morning, Tuttosport (via Milan News) reports that interest has grown more in recent hours, and there have been contacts between the Rossoneri and his entourage, and the club could ‘sink the blow’ as early as this week.

Dortmund’s financial demands must be heard, but they are not expected to be excessive for a 31-year-old.
