MN: Milan ready to aggressively pursue Fullkrug – Abraham not a priority

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could be set for somewhat of a revolution in the striker role this summer because the plan is to make two signings, according to a report.

MilanNews report that the pursuit of Alvaro Morata is heating up more and more, and that the start of next week that could be decisive in terms of sealing his arrival from Atletico Madrid, as we also reported yesterday.

However, the Spaniard may not be the only striker that the management could focus on this summer, given that yesterday evening the name of Niclas Fullkrug of Borussia Dortmund emerged as an option, first reported by Sky.

The German ‘represents an opportunity that Milan intends to exploit’, because Geoffrey Moncada and his team intend to focus on bringing the former Werder Bremen man to San Siro if there are the margins to do so.

There has also been talk of Tammy Abraham arriving in addition to Morata, but despite the Englishman being a profile that the management like, at the moment he is not a priority.

This is mostly because it seems almost certain that Roma would only sell him permanently rather than agreeing to a loan formula of some kind which Milan would prefer.

  1. What an absolute circus!

Jumping from 1 target to another, strikers of all shapes and sizes, with no clear set of criteria. Young to old, deeper playmaker to poacher, expensive to cheap, 1 player to 2 players.
Why buy 2 average players instead of the 1 good one we need?
As Pellegati said, spend a bit more and you’ll get it back via progression in CL etc.

This ownership/management are an embarrassment to the club and the fans.

Do we really think the likes of Theo is not equally shocked by this farce?
I’m sure he would love to stay and succeed at Milan, but he surely now must have huge doubts!

    1. It seems like a club’s tradition to have at least one damn new striker each year. So they will stick to that thing like usual to get short term experienced striker.

    2. We needed/need 3 players. One ST, one DM and one CB. And they knew we need those even before January.

One has to wonder.. VVft were they doing all this time? Because it’s pretty evident they was not scouting potential signings.

    3. Don’t believe everything you read. Just because it makes it on this site, doesn’t mean it holds water ie is true. Papers and news sites need to sell papers and clicks.

      1. Except we have heard direct from players and clubs.

If everything was clear and ordered, why don’t we have the 3 players we need signed and ready?

Because they are firing random bullets everywhere

        1. That’s the part that bugs me. Sure there are rumours but if ppl are confirming the contact made with us then.. ..

  2. I rather confuse with Milan transfer target, they didn’t focused on target, so many lost target like botman, sanchez, olmo, szobozlay, and now they become good player n have good price. Milan transfer run like “snail” not focused n effectived. If they focus on young player Milan must sign n focused n young player, not sign senior player. Milan must have same playing system n playing philosophy in every sector youyh, academy, n senior team. If some player gone or out of contract Milan can used young player on youth team, Milan also so many problem with new contract, i think if Milan’s player didnot have commitment on renewal contract, Milan must hurry up to sell them, if not Milan will lost like kessie, donaruma, etc.

  3. This is just media Bullsxxxx. Milan wont afford that tammy or fullkrug prices.. trust me. I am milan big fan but we must act realistic..

  4. Ya – he has 2 years left on his deal and scores big goals for Dortmund…

Ya sure I can really see this happening lol

I’m sure he will jump for joy at the prospect of coming to Milan to take a pay but and play second fiddle to Morata. Yes sir.
