Tuttosport (via MilanNews) recall how Milan signed Christian Pulisic and Samuel Chukwueze for the right wing position and then also signed Noah Okafor for the false nine/left wing role.
What that means is that a natural striker could be a valid alternative to Olivier Giroud has not yet arrived. At the moment, the first alternative to the Frenchman is Lorenzo Colombo, who however seems oriented towards going out on loan to get more playing time.
Colombo has been involved in the preseason friendlies but wants to be able to play continuously, withCagliari, Lecce and Genoa all keen on securing a loan deal. If he were to go, the management would have to sign a new striker.
It’s difficult to understand who the Rossoneri’s potential targets could be given that some have already vanished, such as the Alejo Veliz who moved to Tottenham in recent days.
In all likelihood, a similar profile would join, i.e. a quality young player who can grow behind Giroud. For now, Divock Origi still remains in the squad, but the Belgian is out of the plans of Stefano Pioli and Milan.
