Tuttosport: Origi tests decisive as Milan could sign striker on loan in January

Divock Origi has sustained a new muscle injury and he will be assessed in the coming days. These tests will then be decisive for the Rossoneri’s transfer market strategy, a report claims.

Milan currently have just Olivier Giroud available up front and the Frenchman played a lot at the World Cup. He will return just before the game against Salernitana and might not be in the best of shapes, or at least it might be wise not to overwork him.

Stefano Pioli had been hoping that Origi would be the one but he has been stopped once again. As per Tuttosport, via SempreMilan.it, the Belgian striker will be tested in the coming days and the recovery time will be decisive for the mercato.

Should he need a lot of time, then Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara could try to sign a striker on loan to cover for Giroud when needed. Marko Lazetic is also available, but he’s still very young and inexperienced.

Milan are reluctant to making a permanent investment in January, especially for the attack, as they intend to make a big one in the summer.
