AC Milan’s attacking department could undergo further changes in the final part of the transfer window but a lot depends on Divock Origi’s fate, a report claims.

As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes today, Milan want to offload Origi before they think about signing another forward because the Belgian is not considered a part of Stefano Pioli’s plans and was left out of the USA tour.
Origi arrived on a free transfer from the Premier League last year with the great opportunity to take on the legacy of Olivier Giroud, but he scored just twice and was plagued by injury problems.
The €4m net per season salary that he gets – considering last year’s performance – is putting a lot of interested teams off. The only timid proposals came from West Ham and some Saudi clubs, but the discussions did not progress.
Until Origi departs, the Rossoneri will not be able move towards other targets they have for the centre-forward role, and the equation also includes Lorenzo Colombo.
Should Milan manage to sell Origi and also decide to send Colombo on loan for another season, the management would move concretely towards a new striker.
At the moment the deputy to Olivier Giroud is Noah Okafor who can also act as a striker but with totally different characteristics from the Frenchman.
Milan are looking for a young striker who is more of a traditional No.9 to grow behind Giroud, while they also want a centre-back – Italian if possible for squad list reasons – to complete the squad.
