Tuttosport: Rebic’s time at Milan could end as winger becomes discontent with situation

Ante Rebic’s time at Milan could come to an end this summer as the winger is not entirely content with his current situation, a report claims.

According to Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan), Rebic could leave Milan ahead of the 2022-23 season despite the fact his contract will expire in June 2025. Rafael Leao is ahead of him in the pecking order and while he can play as a striker if needed, the Croatian does not consider it his favourite role and he wants more playing time on the left.

Not only that, but the fact that Milan are signing Divock Origi and are also looking at profiles like Gianluca Scamacca means there is a risk of him ending up on the sidelines even more.

To all this we must add how Rebic’s last season was not the most positive as he managed three goals in all competitions and was affected by numerous injury problems, having netted 11 times in 2019-20 and 2020-21.

Tuttosport even add that the former Eintracht Frankfurt man will not be pleased to see his name included in a possible negotiation with Roma for Nicolò Zaniolo, so a good offer could see Rebic and Milan part ways.
