Tuttosport: West Ham and Aston Villa keen on Milan flop who could leave after a year

Divock Origi’s time at AC Milan could be over after just one season with a return to the Premier League possible, a report claims.

According to a report from Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan), Origi can leave Milan in the summer window after just one season with the Rossoneri because he did not deliver what was hoped and expected.

This was admitted by Paolo Maldini himself, the technical director, after the club’s elimination in the Champions League at the hands of rivals Inter. Origi has played 35 games this season in Serie A (26), the Champions League (8) and the Supercoppa final, scoring just twice.

He arrived on a free transfer from Liverpool with a lingering injury issue that affected his preseason preparations, so now Milan could be satisfied with a small transfer fee in the summer given it would be a pure capital gain.

The 27-year-old gets €4m net per season at Milan which makes him one of the top earners. Premier League clubs (West Ham and Aston Villa above all) are interested, but also some Turkish teams.
