A decision one way or another is expected very soon regarding Alvaro Morata’s future, with AC Milan and Galatasaray in talks.
In case you missed it, Morata signed for Milan last summer when his release clause at Atletico Madrid was triggered. However, he never truly settled in and was sent on a year-long loan to Galatasaray in the winter mercato, therefore running until January 2026.

Como boss Cesc Fabregas wants to bring his former national team-mate to the lake, and they agreed a price with Milan. Since then, negotiations have been on to try and approve the early termination of his loan in Turkey.
A crucial day
We should soon have some news, because Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Wednesday 6 August is a crucial day in the discussions over the Spaniard.
As widely reported in recent weeks, the former Real Madrid and Juventus striker has long had an agreement with Como. Likewise, Milan and the Lariani have also had an agreement over a €10m permanent transfer for some time.
The problem is that Galatasaray are demanding a high fee to end the loan earlier than expected. Today was a potentially decisive day, therefore, both positively and negatively, given all parties involved set Wednesday as a deadline to find a solution. If they fail to do so, it could fall through.
