Sky: Zaniolo heading for Galatasaray for €22m but contract will have release clause

Nicolo Zaniolo looks to have found a solution as he will leave Roma in the direction of Galatasaray, according to a report.

As reported by Sky (via MilanNews), Zaniolo – who was linked to Milan during the winter transfer window – is currently getting ready to depart for Istanbul as he has accepted a move to join Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray.

In the end Galatasaray managed to convince Roma to accept an amount equal to €20m plus €2m in bonuses in what is a permanent deal, and the winger will sign a four-year contract worth €3.5m net per season.

However, there is an interesting footnote ahead of the summer window. Sky have repeatedly reported that Zaniolo was holding out for a move to Milan but has now been forced to find an alternative solution, and his contract with the Turkish side has a release clause worth €35m, so another move in the not-so-distant future cannot be ruled out.
