The Rossoneri blew their hosts away in truth as they scored four goals through Matteo Gabbia, Rafael Leao, Olivier Giroud (penalty) and an own-goal to move back second in Group E and ensure they only need a draw against Red Bull Salzburg to reach the knockout stages.

Zeljko Kalac was interviewed by our colleagues SempreMilan.it in Zagreb to reflect on how the game went.

“It’s a nice Milan. Dinamo started well but Milan planned and planned and gained control, and after the first goal it’s practically over. This is a good Milan. When you play real matches like yesterday’s, Milan always does well and it shows,” he said.

The best players at Milan?

“For me it’s a squad. Milan are a team made up of important players capable of forming a group. Giroud was a great acquisition for the team, Leao always scores but also in defence they are compact and fast. I really like how they are playing.

“Milan are a team that works, a group in which everyone knows what to do and it’s thanks to Pioli. Everyone says that the squad is not great, but instead I believe that the level of 18-19 players is very high.”

What do you think of Milan’s current goalkeepers?

“Maignan is a great player, for me he can defend Milan’s goal for many years. I liked Tatarusanu, he played a great match without pure. Milan have always had great goalkeepers (laughs).”
