Ancelotti says EuroDerby will be a ‘very balanced match’ with ‘a lot of pressure’

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has said that the Champions League semi-final between AC Milan and Inter will be balanced with lots of pressure on both teams.

The former Rossoneri coach was speaking during his press conference (via Pianeta Milan) as he gets ready to face Premier League champions Manchester City in the other Champions League semi-final.

Real Madrid are at home for the first leg which takes place on Tuesday night. Despite that game being his primary focus, Ancelotti was asked about the game taking place the day after in his homeland, a game that features one of his former sides.

He mentioned that there will be lots of pressure on both teams and it could be a very tight tie over the two legs.

“I was lucky enough to coach AC Milan in a Champions League semi-final in 2003, right in the derby. There was a lot of pressure, or at least I felt it. On a technical and tactical level it’s a very balanced match,” Ancelotti said.

Milan are potentially going to be without Rafael Leao for the game after he suffered a muscle injury against Lazio, whilst Inter should welcome back Robin Gosens and Danilo D’Ambrosio.
