Davide Calabria is aiming to make his return to the AC Milan first team when the Rossoneri faces Fiorentina next weekend, a report claims.
As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), the Italian defender is doing all that’s can to be fit for the trip to Tuscany.
He is still undergoing personalised training at Milanello which means that the visit of Atalanta to San Siro this Sunday will come too soon for him.
On March 4, though, Milan travel south to Florence to take on Vincenzo Italian’s Fiorentina side who are not having a good league campaign in Serie A.
It will be a big boost for Stefano Pioli if he can have his first choice right back available for selection.
In the meantime though, Alessandro Florenzi is expected to be back in contention for the Atalanta game so there is some cover there, as well as Sergino Dest.
His best position right now would be defensive midfielder or right-sided centre back. As a wingback, Alexis and Florenzi might be better than him.
His best position is on the bench.
