AC Milan battled from behind to earn a draw against Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium on Sunday afternoon, but their five-game winning run in the league game to an end.

Andrea Pinamonti and Armand Lauriente score first half goals to put the home side in the driving seat before Rafael Leao hit back. Lauriente restored the two-goal lead, but Luka Jovic and Noah Okafor scored to earn the Rossoneri a 3-3 draw.

Below is how the Italian media have reacted to the result…

La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Pioli suffers against Sassuolo: ‘But we will be highly motivated’. Inter, derby for two stars. If they win against Milan, they get the the Scudetto. Inzaghi stalled by Cagliari: ‘Party on Monday? It would be nice’.”

Corriere dello Sport: “Inter can see stars. If on Monday 22 they beat Milan, they are Champions of Italy. Inzaghi held 2-2 by Cagliari: Thuram, Shomurodov, Calha and Viola on target. Nerazzurri still at +14 over Pioli, who stalls away to Sassuolo (3-3).”

Tuttosport: “Milan, horror defending. But Inter get tangled up. Crazy draws with Sassuolo and Cagliari. In order to celebrate the Scudetto on the Monday derby, the Nerazzurri are forced to win.”
