Gian Piero Gasperini has once again shared his thoughts on Charles De Ketelaere and why he pushed Atalanta to loan the Belgian from Milan this summer. For him, the youngster was always a striker.

A striker that can’t win physical duals is useless. He’s a second striker, not one that can lead the line by himself (at least not in a league like Serie A, EPL, etc.). No way we were going to use him as the sole striker in place of Giroud. He isn’t a winger or trequartista either, hence his ineffectiveness in those positions when we played him there.
