Simon Kjaer will not be available for tonight’s big clash between Napoli and AC Milan at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. The Dane is suffering from muscle fatigue and has been forced to withdraw from the squad.
Milan already have one of their centre-backs suspended, namely Malick Thiaw, and the added absence of Kjaer is thus far from ideal. Marco Pellegrino is now the only centre-back option on the bench, and he’s yet to make his debut for the club.
As per Gazzetta dello Sport’s Luca Bianchin, Kjaer is struggling with muscle fatigue and that’s why he has been left out of tonight’s action. He wasn’t expected to start, however, as Pierre Kalulu will team up with the ever-present Fikayo Tomori.
Milan need to bounce back with a strong performance tonight following two very disappointing defeats. The one against PSG may have been expected, but the way it panned out was still frustrating.

Cant decide if it would be better to field Krunič on def or as the ST. But we need him to play, thats for sure. Im leaning def since his finishing is meh. Time for the 343 again

When players are getting injured in warm-ups and players who haven’t been playing are out with muscle fatigue, you are doing something seriously wrong in training. 4 years of this now. What’s the definition of insanity?
