GdS: Milan identify Betis left-back as No.1 target and could make January attempt

By Isak Möller -

Juan Miranda has been linked with AC Milan ever since the summer and it seems the Rossoneri could make a new attempt, a report claims. The left-back’s contract will expire at the end of the season.

Milan are currently relying on Theo Hernandez and Alessandro Florenzi for the left-back role. The youngster Davide Bartesaghi has also made a couple of appearances, but he still needs more time to adapt to first-team football.

Therefore, as reported by Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below), one of the Rossoneri’s mercato priorities is to sign a left-back. Juan Miranda, who plays for Real Betis, remains an option as his contract will expire in the summer.

He’s the main target for the position, as the report continues, and Milan could even make an attempt in January to beat the competition. This is perhaps something Betis would be open to as well, given that they would get some money instead of losing him for free.

Hernandez will be suspended for the game against Juventus after the break and Florenzi is in pole position to replace him. Bartesaghi, therefore, will have to wait for his first start with the Rossoneri.
