GdS: Milan dealt blow as Krunic could be out for a month – the latest

By Isak Möller -

Rade Krunic sustained a muscle injury in AC Milan’s win over Hellas Verona last night and could be out for a month, according to a report. Of course, this would be a huge blow for the Rossoneri.

The Bosnian has been a key player for Stefano Pioli’s side at the start of this season, playing every game from start to finish (up until yesterday). Therefore, the fans were rightfully concerned when he left the pitch with an injury.

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (see photo below), Krunic could be out for as long as a month. Milan confirmed to the media that he’s suffering from a ‘muscle problem in the right thigh flexor’ and that tests will take place on Monday.

Only then will the Rossoneri know the true extent of his injury. It seems pretty certain that he will miss the games until the next break, though. Therefore, Yacine Adli and Tijjani Reijnders are gearing up to play in the No.6 role.

    1. It has never been something personal with Krunic nor I think people are happy that one of our players is injured specially one that has always showed a great attitude. But I 100% think whoever covers that role (not Pobega) will eventually do it way way better.

      1. You under-estimate human malice. Some are popping corks right now.
The only one that can do it better is benacer and he is out till dec

        1. Benny is our best midfielder by a mile. But what Krunic did for us last season when no other player was available and this season in which he was clearly our most consistent player cannot be disregarded. See, some people are even saying he should be injured for longer period.

          1. Yes.. out of the season.. imagine a player that can’t make 3 good pass in a team.. always playing the ball to the keep and defender to make the pass.. no thinking.. We don’t need him in this team.. Our coach need to be sack.. believe me.. we have the player to beat any team.. we don’t have a coach.. Milan have what Inter Milan don’t have.. If we have a good coach.. he will turn leao to a killer machine.. our coach level is Arsenal kind of Levo.. We are Milan killer machine.. We need good coach and team.

      2. So who Chris? Adli? Haah how some ppl here think Adli would do better than Krunic in regista role :’D, you wan’t him to dictate the tempo? Sorry but that’s really funny and really sad at the same time. He can’t defend & he has no clue how to take position, what is so good about him seriously tell me. Tijani looked shaky in defence as well, not sharp enough in duels, his qualities lay elsewhere

I hold my breath, I’m usually quite optimistic (esp if you take this forum as indicator bahahah), last season we lost a lot of points when Krunic was on the absentee list and that was in a team with Bennacer and Tonali, facts hard to believe for the haters but that’s how it is.

So yes it’s probably personal in your case (&many others) or could be stupidity and ignorance that you ignore to see the weight Krunic takes on his shoulders each game.

all those cheering now are a disgrace being a Milan fan

        1. Relax your mind… Adli can do better than him.. Right now you are going to enjoy good football with good pass.. We don’t need slow player.. We need good player..

          1. You guys are delusional. Adli is a fuckin$ AM, how do you think he will do better than Krunic when he never played on that position. Wait and see how Pioli will play Reijnders on that position with RLC and Musah as Mezalla’s.

          2. You guys are delusional. Adli is a fu$king AM, how do you think he will do better than Krunic when he never played on that position. Wait and see how Pioli will play Reijnders on that position with RLC and Musah as Mezalla’s.

    1. Maybe Pioli switches the whole formation (and so-called tactics) to avoid putting Adli on the pitch? I wouldn’t be surprised to see that.

  1. Everything stays on Ruben Reijnders and Musah.

Pobega will be rotation and Adli, god knows if he ever be able to play.

Kevin Zeroli might got chance now to play.

  2. Being from Bordeaux and knowing Adli from his time there, I’m curious to see how he would perform as a 6. I’m unconvinced, but if the coach says he can do it, let’s have a look.

  3. Should have sold the deadwood whenever there was a chance. 12 million was the highest ever offer received & they blew it.

That offer was a blessing in disguise for the beady eyes with always scared looking babyface.

    FFS!

    1. And who were you going to play as a DM ? Pobega ? Adli who is an AM ? Reijnders ?
I’m not a fan of Krunic, but you can’t just sell a player you don’t like and then bring no one who can play in that position.

        1. pretty much every tactic use a DM or at least a midfielder that can tackle/fight/do the dirty job… If you don’t have a midfielder who can defend you’re pretty much done for

          1. They should have but didn’t. That’s why selling Krunic during the last days, even for 12M would have been a mistake.
If it was done a month or so before the end of the transfer window I would have been all for it.

        2. LMAO 😂😂😂 ok now I know that you’re trolling. Play without midfield defender ? Lol wtf 🤣🤣🤣🤣 yes let’s just run wild /s . I can’t ever recall a formation that doesn’t have a a defensive midfielder

  4. He’s hated more than he’s appreciated.
Well he might not be the best in that position but he always put in his best.

Krunic doesn’t deserve what most of you wish him right now (out of the season) that’s total hatred on someone that has done absolutely nothing wrong wearing the red and black colours of AC Milan.

    It’s well.
Quick recovery to the injured players.

  5. I think we need to play adli so that these adli supporters shut the fuck up.
Guys adli sucks. Just accept it and move it. Im sick and tired of these fantasy managers crying about adli since last year

  6. You guys seems too exclude Musa as a DM,he can hold on play, fight for balls and don’t give opponent chance too play.too me I will prefer Musa,Rainjdner and adil in that middle instead of RLC

  7. Sad news. Nobody should wish for our own players injury. That is disgusting. Like him or not Krunic has been solid. For all those that dislike him or don’t feel he is of quality – blame management (and Pioli) – not Krunic – it is their fault not his that we didn’t get a better DM in light of Bennys injury. Same as it is management’s fault who didn’t get us another #9 – another mistake.

Let’s see if Adli is given a chance to prove his worth. I doubt Pioli does and will instead play Reinjders there – but who knows with so many games he should get a run – hopefully next game v Cagliari.

Hope Krunic has a speedy recovery. We need all the bodies we can get with this packed schedule.
