Martin Zubimendi has ended up on the radar of both AC Milan and Juventus ahead of the upcoming summer window. However, the midfielder has a very high price tag, which puts the Bianconeri at an advantage.
Milan are already making plans for the summer and the defensive department, as well as the No.9 role, appear to be the main priorities. Having struggled with the defensive balance, though, the Rossoneri might also need to sign a midfielder.
Therefore, as reported by today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below), Milan have added Real Sociedad midfielder Zubimendi to their radar. His contract will expire in 2027 and the price tag, at least going by the release clause, is a hefty €60m.
In addition to Milan, the 25-year-old has also attracted the interest of Juventus and other big clubs. The Bianconeri are clearly have an advantage over Milan, as the latter intend to spend big on the defence and the attack. The budget for the midfield, meanwhile, will not be as big.
The Rossoneri have thought about Zubimendi for next season, though, as the report concludes. It remains to be seen what will happen, but a deal appears unlikely as things stand.

Sell all the players on loan, Pobega and Adli and you make the 60 mln needed for Zubimendi. Porto’s Varela and Sporting’s Hjulmand too are similar options. Sell Kalulu and Thiaw and make 60-70 mln. With that money you can buy Goncalo Inacio (release clause) or Scalvini. The owners should provide from the (club’s) funds 50 mln to buy Sesko (release clause).
He’s good but if we’d be willing to spend 60M on one player it better be Ederson (30-40M) or Koopmeiners (40-50M)..

Zubimendi is worth 60m while Koopmeiners and Ederson are far from that. I’d take him for the release clause in a heartbeat

Koopmeiners is box to box midfielder he is more attacking midfielder than defensive midfielder we need straight DM or destroyer so subimendi is perfect
Milan needs a dm. Milan won’t pay 60M for a player. Not even 50M. Even 40M is pushing it and highly unlikely.
So this guy, purfect or not. Not coming to Milan or juve.
And i never said Koop is a pure dm. I said he is a better player which is 100% true.
