Atletico Madrid could possibly lower their demands for Angel Correa amid repeated links with AC Milan, a report claims.
It is believed that Correa is the primary target for Paolo Maldini and the rest of the hierarchy at this point as they look to give new head coach Marco Giampaolo a support striker to work from.
We recently reported that personal terms have been agreed with the Argentine, who wants a move to the Rossoneri, but that there is still a distance between the two clubs in terms of a transfer fee.
Now, La Gazzetta dello Sport report on Friday that the player has indeed ‘promised himself’ to Milan, and that the club’s leadership are as a result not in a hurry to close the operation.
This is due to the fact that Milan are anticipating that Atletico will lower their €55million demand towards the end of the market, something which – with the help of a sale or two – could allow the Rossoneri to finally clinch the deal.
