GdS: Milan player ratings for Fiorentina win – Maignan crucial; attacking duo struggle

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan got a much-needed three points on Saturday night in front of their own fans as Theo Hernandez’s penalty kick secured the win.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below) has their ratings from the game, starting with the team’s performance and Stefano Pioli’s score, both of which were given a 6 out of 10.

Mike Maignan was the man of the match as he got an 8, while Samuel Chukwueze disappointed on the right wing and was given the lowest score which was a 5.

The defence stood firm with Malick Thiaw, Fikayo Tomori and the match-winner Theo all getting a 6.5 while captain Davide Calabria was given half a point less.

In midfield the three starters Tijjani Reijnders, Tommaso Pobega and Yunus Musah were all given a 6. Christian Pulisic got the same score playing on the left wing.

Luka Jovic again struggled to assert himself in the game and was given a 5 though he did play a nice pass from which Theo drew the penalty. Ruben Loftus-Cheek (6) was the only substitute to get a rating.
