GdS: Milan ratings for SPAL win – Suso the difference; Kessie and Castillejo poor

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan failed to impress on the whole despite their 1-0 win over struggling SPAL at San Siro on Thursday night.

In the end it took a trademark free-kick just after the hour mark from Suso to break the deadlock on Halloween night as Stefano Pioli’s side finally moved back into the top half of the table.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have given their ratings for Milan’s performance, with Suso scoring the highest as he recorded a 7/10 ratings.

Leo Duarte – who was shifted from right-back to centre-back at half-time – scoring a 6.5, as did left-back Theo Hernandez, while Gianluigi Donnarumma, Davide Calabria, Mateo Musacchio and Alessio Romagnoli all scored 6s.

Ismael Bennacer, Krzysztof Piatek and Hakan Calhanoglu also received a 6, with Lucas Paqueta scoring 5.5.

Two players received a rating of 5 from the newspaper, namely Samu Castillejo and Franck Kessie, but the latter was voted as Milan’s worst player due to a first half ‘full of errors’.
