Italy’s national team will borrow Milanello during the international break

By Isak Möller -

The international break will start next week and AC Milan will thus have to wait for the derby against Inter. Not a single Rossoneri player has been called up by Italy, who will train at Milanello for two days.

Milan don’t have many Italians left in their squad and those closest to a call-up, such as Alessandro Florenzi and Davide Calabria, are still not that close. There are a few ex-players in the squad, though, such as Alessio Romagnoli and Sandro Tonali.

As confirmed by the FIGC, Luciano Spalletti’s side will borrow Milanello for two days ahead of the clash against Ukraine at San Siro. More specifically, the Azzurri will be at the training round on September 10 and 11.

Milanello has multiple pitches and this means that Stefano Pioli and those not called up for international duty will be able to work simultaneously. The preparations for the derby will begin at the start of that week, in fact.
