AC Milan have held fresh talks with Bournemouth over the idea of bringing Asmir Begovic back for next season, a report claims.
Widespread reports are suggesting that Milan’s current deputy to Gianluigi Donnarumma – Pepe Reina – is all set for a move to the Rossoneri’s Serie A rivals Lazio.
The veteran Spaniard will apparently pen a two-year deal with the capital club despite the strong interests of Valencia, and that means that Milan are in the market for a goalkeeper again with Alessandro Plizzari having gone out on loan.
According to MilanNews, the management are ready to entrust Asmir Begovic with the role of back-up keeper once again just as they did in the second half of the 2019-20 season.
The Bosnian goalkeeper joined on loan from Bournemouth until 30 June and it was extended until the end of the season, which was delayed due to COVID-19. Now, Milan are exploring the ideal of getting him back for another year, with talks between the club and the player on Wednesday.
