MN: Pessimism grows over Kalulu fitness for Inter clash with new tests scheduled

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan’s Pierre Kalulu is looking less and less likely to be a part of the Milan derby on Saturday afternoon with new tests scheduled for later in the week, a report claims.

As has been reported by Milan News, the French defender is going to be the subject of new physical tests on Thursday or Friday morning at the latest.

Considering that the game is being played on Saturday at 18:00, that does not fill anyone with much hope that Milan are expecting to have him available, and certainly not from the start of the Derby della Madonnina.

Given that Fikayo Tomori is out with a suspension after his red card against AS Roma before the international break, Stefano Pioli is expected to start the game with Simon Kjaer and Malick Thiaw at centre-back.

That is a largely untested partnership for a game of such importance so early in the new season.

  1. At our friendly matches this season, Simon Kjaer looks a little bit lose his pace. And both Inter’s strikers (Lautaro & Thuram) are fast. But i don’t think Pellegrini will ready to start. In this point, i miss Matteo Gabbia.

    1. interestingly enough, Musah played some minutes as a CB for the US. And a lot of minutes in a DMF position.
Kjaer-Thiaw will start but should either one of them go down, I wouldnt be surprised if we see Musah there.
