Stefano Pioli is set to remain loyal to the players that put AC Milan 1-0 up in the tie when he names his team for the Champions League quarter-final second leg against Napoli.
As reported by Milan News, the coach is not going to be tinkering with his team and after making so many changes for the Serie A fixture against Bologna, he will flip it back to the team that won 1-0 at San Siro.
Milan travel to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona knowing that a tough task awaits as Victor Osimhen will be back in attack for Napoli. He missed the 4-0 win for Milan in Serie A and the first Champions League game.
Rade Krunic will remain in the deeper midfield role alongside Sandro Tonali and that means Ismael Bennacer, who scored in the first leg, will be further forward as a No.10.
Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kjaer, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Krunic; Diaz, Bennacer, Leao; Giroud.
Bench: Mirante, Thiaw, Kalulu, Florenzi, Pobega, Messias, Rebic, De Ketelaere, Origi.
Probable Napoli XI (4-3-3): Meret; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Juan Jesus, Mario Rui; Ndombele, Lobotka, Zielinski; Politano, Osimhen, Kvaratskhelia.
I look at the bench and it’s so terrible. If our starters do t get the job done, then that’s that
Hahaha, yes you are right. Before the season. We didn’t think that way. But the more we’ve seen these players the more it’s become obvious how flawed they are. Kalulu and Thiaw may get a pass at least. Pobega did a good game against Bologna. But overall he hasn’t been good.
as i pointed it out the other day pobega has played what equals 10.8 matches if we look at the minutes he has played in all competitions and has actually scored 3 goals and if i remember correctly it wasnt the first important one. Id say he has done pretty decent considering both stats and that he has been a substitute for most of those minutes played.
Best lineup we have. Glad to see it.
che gli dei della fortuna siano con il MILAN, l’arbitro deve essere giusto e non puntare troppo su Osimhen
