RMC: Ligue 1 side set €50m price tag for Milan target

By Euan Burns -

French side RC Lens have decided that they want to receive a transfer fee of €50 million if they are to lose Lois Openda to AC Milan or another team this summer, a report claims.

As has been reported by RMC Sport in France (via Milan News), Lens are not going to be letting their Belgian forward leave the club this summer for a small fee given he has been one of the best forwards in Europe this season.

Milan have been heavily linked with Openda whose goals took Lens to second place in the Ligue 1 table, a superb result that sees them qualify for the Champions League.

It is believed that he is very keen on the RB Leipzig interest, and they may be better placed to meet that price tag than Milan are. They have already made a €30m bid for Openda but Lens rejected it in the hopes of getting more.

  1. LOL. Player valuations are just so off the wall these days. But I’m sure that’s not the conclusion most people will draw from this.

  2. Hahaha I love how players who have had 1-2 good seasons now are worth wild money… wow this game is changing and 100% for the worse.

    1. The EPL has destroyed the market and Saudi will have the same effect. If it means clubs have no choice but to promote from their youth teams then that’s a good thing. What’s the point in having a youth team if you don’t give players a chance?

  3. Milan to Lens:
“I hipnotize you. You’ll see my €5 mil as €50 mil. So grab it and give me that Openda, and you should happy with that.”

    Lens to Milan:
    Yes master.

Suddenly, I wake up from my nightmare.

  4. Skip . If 30m euro offer rejected by lens , then there is no way ACM want to offer more than that. No need to buy over price player ,learn from last season mistake that ACM buy over price CDK just because leeds compete with them
