CorSera: Changes to ‘daily management’ expected at Milan – “Too many leaks”

By Isak Möller -

In addition to securing a new manager and making some signings, AC Milan are also expected to make some changes on the corporate side of things. According to a report, due to many leaks as of late, there are concerns.

Since Gerry Cardinale took over AC Milan in 2022, the management has been working in great silence, as especially evidenced by the sacking of Paolo Maldini. This is the way the American likes it and according to Corriere della Sera, there have been too many leaks as of late.

In addition to replacing Stefano Pioli, and reinforcing the team on the mercato, Milan will also look over the internal organisation. This also concerns the ‘daily management’, so employees at Milanello and Casa Milan will be under scrutiny.

The feeling is that not everyone has ‘rowed on the same side’, as the report continues, given that there have been ‘too many leaks’ in recent months. This is not the only problem but one that the ownership and management will fix.

It’s certainly right to use the world revolution to describe the upcoming summer and everything will start with the new manager. Several candidates are in the running and important evaluations are on the cards.

  1. Not too long ago we were becoming a family again. Good times were on the rise again under the management of “he who must not be named”. But these Americans brought nothing but toxicity to this club. Players are seen as resale assets first and then as family members. Not long till coaches and players start avoiding us due to hazardous and hostile environment this corporate key account manager is setting up.

    1. Americans have owned Milan since 2018.
So when was Milan becoming a family again before they brought the toxicity?
      Was it under Li Yonghong?

      1. For me, it was when they unceremoniously sacked Maldini & Massara.

M&M were responsible for using a very small budget & wages and used their talents and brought us to the top of Serie A and back to CL. Things were going well, improving every year.

Fast forward to now. Where the guy doing the hiring is moneyball Moncada where we sign el cheapos from france in order to make maximum profit.

Do we need them? Do they fit into the team? Do they add talent?

Doesn’t matter. All that matters is moneyballing. Buy low, sell high.

Poor decisions at the top are having a trickle down effect and you can see how it’s affecting the team.

        1. I know it’s a waste of time explaining it to you, but Maldini and Massara had a small budget because they were gifting Milan’s best players to other teams.
People like you are more mad that Milan sold a player than M&M losing playerS for free.
If M&M were capable of making money from sales instead of letting players leave for free they would have had bigger budget.

      2. Again, bad faith from you not to admit you were wrong. Elliott admitted they don’t know anything and they let the previous management do their business, which led to a Scudetto, UCL resurgence and top players almost homegrown. Since Jerry decided last summer to take the reins to become a star CEO, it’s complete chaos. On and off the field. Did anyone see Jerry and Yonghong Li in the same room?

        1. Last season, before Gerry decided to put out Maldini, Milan needed the courts to penalize Juventus to qualify for the UCL. They are already mathematically qualified with 4 games left without the courts help. That’s an improvement.
Also, when you judge this management first season, compare it to Maldini and Massara 1st season.
Moncada – Furlani took over a team that finished 5th to 2nd place.
Maldini and Massara took a team that finished 5th , 1 point away from 3rd, and finished 6th in their 1st season.
There is no chaos. Milan just got to get rid of the last piece that it’s holding them back. To correct a mistake they did last summer, by not firing all 3 of them

          1. Man you are the embodiment of bad faith that’s hilarious 😂

How can you say that M&M (Moncada was also here) inherited a better team than Furlani and Moncada? No one in the world would follow you on that path haha

No chaos? We are literally commenting under an article saying there is a toxic atmosphere in Casa Milan, the club is under investigation by the highest Italian authorities and this season has been a complete mess, with injuries, poor form, early elimination from every cup and the championship and now the search for a new coach is a complete mayhem.

      3. Obvious. Maldini brought the spirit back to the club and was the reason we won. With him, who is going to bring that culture back.. my opinion, there are none.

    2. Maldini wanted to sack Pioli. No so family Kum By Ya.

Maldini let Kessie, Hakan, and Donnaruma go on frees. His budget would have been larger had he not made such mistakes. In some ways you can say he bought that Scudetto with the fees they would have brought in.

While I personally think it a good bit of business, it was the choice Maldini made to work with a smaller budget.

Inter work with no Mercato budget and clearly built a stronger team at the same time.

What is toxic about Milan’s environment at this time? I’ve seen not reports of discord among players. I’ve seen no article saying a target signing will not consider us because we are a circus.

Perhaps are you confusing Milan with Chelsea or Man UTD?

    3. Families are overrated. Families are people tolerating each other because of blood ties..

Nothing wrong with having resell players. Tho we only sold one guy in the last 5 years so idk why you people keep highlighting that.. lost a lot more on free

  2. Wonder what would the fans’ arguments be like today if it is M&M who had sold Tonali and reinvested the monies, but F&M who had lost Donna, Calha, Kessie (and Leao almost) on a free … would be interesting to know. But I think we already know don’t we?

    1. Completely irrelevant. It’s like saying I wonder what would the fans say if Furlani had won a 20th Scudetto. It didn’t happen, never will unless you believe in multiverse my friend. Seems like there is a shortage of arguments for the Jerry’s fan club. But I think that we already know, don’t we?

  3. Can we just stop comparing about this management . Both want the best for ACM . Yes maybe both have mistake , it is normal . There is nothing wrong have tight budget for new stadium. Juve, arsenal ,totenham already passed that tight budget and they enjoy their new stadium. If the management now can succesful build then they will be surpass berlusconi ( prime minister italy at that time but cannot build new stadium for ACM ). Paolo Maldini was legend and he want ACM win CL as fast as he can , thats why he reject tonali sale, nothing wrong about him but thats make him in opposite with tight budget from owner
