LaLiga giants Atletico Madrid have reportedly joined the race to sign AC Milan misfit Nikola Kalinic.

Sevilla have also apparently enquired about Kalinic, who was sent home from Croatia’s World Cup squad, but it appears Atletico have taken the lead in the race.

According to reports from Sky, the club from the Spanish capital are in pole position to land Kalinic now because Sevilla would have to sell Kevin Gameiro in order to afford his transfer fee.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray have also been linked with a move for Kalinic, who joined on loan with obligation to buy from Fiorentina last summer.
