Sky journalist confirms Milan have four targets to give Pioli an Ibrahimovic deputy

By Isak Möller -

Milan are looking for a centre-forward on the market as they have struggled to find the back of the net without Zlatan Ibrahimovic on the pitch. And they have a few players in mind, according to a report.

Rafael Leao hasn’t been able to impress in the centre-forward role and Hakan Calhanoglu had to step up against Sassuolo, so to Ante Rebic against Genoa. And since Ibrahimovic can’t play every game, a solution is needed.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are already at work to solve the situation and they have several names on their wish list. Sky Italia journalist Manuele Baiocchini spoke about the targets the Rossoneri have, as cited by MilanNews.

“Making an investment in attack is in Milan’s mind. In that position, Leao hasn’t convinced. Milan want to give Pioli an apprentice to Ibra, one who can play and also sit on the bench without making a fuss.

“I think of the Scamacca and Vlahovic, even if he is taking on a slightly more important role. There is also Malen of PSV and Belotti of Torino, whose contract will expire in 2022 and might be a market opportunity,” he stated.

Four players that are capable of finding the back of the net, but depending on the respective price tags, Milan will have to make some evaluations. Either way, the goal is clear as a striker is needed this summer.
