Sky: Milan working on €5m MLS solution for struggling Nottingham Forest loanee

By Oliver Fisher -

A future in the United States may await for Divock Origi as his time with Nottingham Forest continues without much positivity, according to a report.

Origi was signed by Milan during the 2022 summer window with hopes that he could be a reliable striker to alternate with Olivier Giroud given his experience and his big-game exploits at Liverpool.

However, he scored just twice in a season that was riddled with injuries and that meant that when last summer came around the Rossoneri management were already looking for somewhere to send him.

The Belgian went on loan to Forest with an option to buy but he has made just nine appearances for them, amassing just 178 minutes minutes of game time, and only two shots on goal. The numbers sadly underline his lack of impact in a side that are battling to stay up.

According to what is being reported by Sky, there have been some ‘more serious approaches’ from Los Angeles FC regarding Origi, who as mentioned is currently at Forest but could see his loan ended early.

Milan now expect a written offer after the meeting between the intermediaries that are working on the operation and the directors of the MLS club. The Rossoneri’s request is for a loan with an obligation to buy set at €5m

  1. Origi, can’t do like Hazard in Real, to stay and get salary .
Anyway, Milan did good job sending him on loan to England. Because now it could be bigger opportunity to sell him.

  2. Two shots on goal! The guy is genuinely afraid of the ball. I can’t think of a worse Milan player. Literally can someone remind me of a worse player?
Origi my friend you must walk away. You’ve been exposed as a fraud. You are now not but a highly paid clown who is only useful for making jokes. I don’t watch the mls but what club would pay that much for a guy who produces two shots on goal over two games worth of minutes 🤯
